OpenShot video editor finally reached the new major 2.1 stable release. Here's how to install it in Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 14.04 via PPA.
The 0.7.2 version of Shotwell is available as a free download on our website. The most popular versions of the program are 0.7, 0.6 and 0.5. The program lies within Photo & Graphics Tools, more precisely Viewers & Editors. The program's installer is commonly called shotwell.exe. This free software is an intellectual property of Yorba Foundation. In shotwell, it is possible to set external editors that can be used to edit pictures. One can choose from a list of installed programs like e.g. Gimp and ImageMaverick on my system. However, I would like to use Adobe Photoshop, which I just managed to install using PlayOnLinux. Shotwell is an open source photo organizer designed for the GNOME desktop environment. Import photos from folders or from any digital camera supported by gPhoto. Shotwell automatically groups photos taken at the same time. You can also use tags and ratings to organize your photo collection. Shotwell is a photo organizer for the GNOME desktop environment.
